Recently, reading my mail, I found an email from a person who asked me to recognize a coin.
asked me what the sender was an idea of \u200b\u200bwhat country's currency could belong.
The pictures (of currency) that were sent to me were these ...

Very good pictures, very clear.
The currency is fairly current, 1992, and has some ideograms.
Then I got the idea that the currency was Korea, as these ideograms with straight lines and elongated circles (ellipses appear but they are not) found in those currencies
So I might easily identify it if you could access the catalog of coins in the section of one of the two Koreas (North and South).
But I have the catalog with me and I'm away from home.
so I'll use the NUMISMASTER , which is a powerful online catalog.
I have already spoken of this "online brochure" and use it in another post (here is the post Numismaster: the online and free WorldCoins ).
Now I'll use to find this coin. I
site:
http://numismaster.com
and logging me (I'm registered and I just put my username and password and I'm in ...) The site
tool will use the "Find My Coin"
This tool is presented as a form that asks me some information ....
These are the facts I have written:
Coin Origin:
World Country: Korea-North (proves with North Korea and then South Korea: South Korea- )
Date: 1992 I press the button
"FIND MY COIN" and results are displayed.
As with "Korea-North" no luck, I click on the "Refine Search" and try "Korea-South"
This time if I have luck, and I recognize the currency immediately.
This is the results page ....
There he is, at the bottom.

Well, are 500 Won of South Korea .
If you want more details of the coin, I have only to click on "View Details" and get this new page ....

The images are reduced for display in the Post, but clicking on them can be extended.
and again I recommend you to register on that page and begin to use this catalog, learn to use it, it's a great help.
